Hello, Lowry Swim Club Applicants!

We are always looking for amazing new people to join our team. The pay range will be between ~$15.55 to $19.00. Please note we have received an exception from the City and County of Denver to pay within this range, subject to change.

You do not need to be a member of the pool to be considered for employment. There is one application for both Snackie/Front Desk Attendant and Life Guard.

Job Descriptions

Snack Bar Attendant

Necessary Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, you must be 14 years of age by date of hire and be able to quickly calculate simple mathmatic equations. 

Job Summary
Snack Bar Attendants (snackies) are responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to customers while also adhering to food service policies and procedures.  Your duties include listening and processing snack orders, preparing food products, cleaning and sanitizing food preparation and consumption areas; reporting snack inventory needs, and knowing the price of all snacks served in the snack bar.  Snackies must be able to multi-task, be self-starters, and be able to handle themselves and remain calm in a in a hectic environment.

Snack Bar Attendants must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as snack totals.  Employees must also be able to count money and give appropriate change. 

In addition to the above job skills, employees must ensure a healthy and safe work environment.  Employees must complete cleaning and general pool maintenance duties including, but not limited to pool, office, deck, locker rooms. Employees must also possess excellent customer service and communication skills and must communicate in a friendly positive and professional manner with co-workers staff and the general public. Employees are required to attend regularly scheduled in-service trainings. 

Front Desk Attendant 

Necessary Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, you must be 14 years of age by date of hire. 

Job Summary
Front Desk Attendants are responsible for greeting members positively and politely as they come in.  Your duties include checking membership  before allowing patrons to enter the pool area, keeping records of payment, appropriately fill out attendance and other pool reports, answering phones, answering pool related questions, taking messages and delivering messages to appropriate recipients.  Front desk attendants must have excellent customer service skills and must have the ability to make sound judgments exercise conflict resolution and exhibit patience when dealing with stressful and/or disciplinary situations.  Employees must possess knowledge of all rules and regulations and must enforce all pool rules and regulations of the Lowry Swim Club in a FIRM, but POLITE manner.

Front Desk Attendants must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as pool fee. Employees must also be able to count money and give appropriate change.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor 

Necessary Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, you must be 15 years of age by date of hire. You also must hold current certifications lifeguard training and CPR certifications. Please include the expiration dates in which your certifications expire and attach a copy of your certification cards with your application.  If you do not hold current certifications, please indicate when you expect to receive these certifications or indicate the date in which you are registered to take the certification courses.

Job Summary
Lifeguards are responsible for the lives and safety of all patrons while on duty. Lifeguards must maintain safety, discipline, and constant surveillance in and around the pool area and locker rooms to prevent drowning, injuries or accidents. Lifeguards must have the ability to react quickly and correctly and remain calm in emergency situations. Lifeguards must have knowledge and be able to perform lifesaving, first aid and CPR techniques. Lifeguards will be required to perform the necessary lifesaving procedures.

Lowry Swim Club learn-to-swim program course descriptions and requirements. Instructors must be able to demonstrate skills and proper swimming techniques to participants. Instructors must instruct, evaluate, record student progress and complete progress reports for all lesson participants. The instructor should show a genuine interest in all students and enthusiasm in their teaching. If you do not have experience teaching swimming lessons, training will be available free of charge.
